Getting customers into your storefront to purchase goods from you is the goal of every retailer. For clothing retailers, the first look that a customer gets of your storefront is often the make or break decider if they will even enter your store. A good window display will do wonders for any storefront by attracting the attention of shoppers to the wonders available within.

With the ever increasing rise of obesity in the world today, Plus size clothing is becoming a larger share of the fashion market. If you are interested in gaining a part of this ever-increasing market, then be aware that placing plus size clothing on junior size mannequins is not a good way to attract a full figured customer.

Using appropriate sized mannequins to display the clothing will give your potential customers a chance to imagine how the clothing will appear on themselves. It also speaks out to them that here is a retailer that is dedicated to the well being of their plus size customers and not just as an afterthought.

Another helpful consideration to keep in mind is that plus size apparel needs plus size accessories to compliment them. As a plus size person myself, one of my biggest complaints in the past has been that when I find clothing that fits me, often one part of it doesn’t fit properly. If I am getting an outfit to wear to a party and the accessories to go with it are made for a smaller person, then they will look tiny on me and I will not be happy.

Carrying large sized accessories like scarves and jewelry will help to cement into the thoughts of your full figured customers as the retailer that understands their needs and wants. They will be sure to tell all their friends about this great retailer they found and that is one of the goals of any retailer.

Art Nouveau inspired curls and lines cover fabrics from chiffons to satins.

An unexpected revival comes in the form of Tie Dye. This look hasn’t been around for years, but no one is complaining about the update. The colors have shifted from saturated rainbows, to deep gem tones, making this old look relevant again.

70’s inspired peasant tunic tops are here again, and have been since last fall. This long running trend shows no signs of dying out – likely because of the comfort of the billowy cuts. You don’t need to raid mom’s closet anymore for amazing retro and vintage looks.
